Officer Biographies
President Michell Growe
President Growe is taking over the helm from Past President Kraus for the remaining year and a half. President Growe will continue to lead this fine Lodge in a forward direction
Past President Kevin Glaser
Past President Glaser has proudly served the lodge for a number of years and also represented Lodge 1 as an elected Trustee to the Illinois State Lodge. He currently is a lieutenant with the Police Department.
Vice President Jason Menclewicz
Brother Menclewicz took over the remaining term of Vice President Growe. Brother Menclewicz was elected to his first 3 year term as a trustee in '07. Vice President Menclewicz served on the contract negotiations team, and is currently a field sergeant in patrol.
Treasurer Jeff McBrayer
Treasurer McBrayer,has been with the Calumet City Police Department for over nine years and is currently assigned to the patrol division. He currently is a shift evidence tech, and field training officer (FTO), and an ATV instructor. Treasurer McBrayer served on the negotiations team. He envisions bringing Lodge #1 together as a solid unit of the FOP. Jeff is also the associate trustee for the IL State Lodge District 9.
Secretary Bill Siems
Secretary Bill Siems is a Sergent with the police department and is a vital member of not only the Calumet City Police Department but to Calumet City Lodge #1. Secretary Siems is the glue that holds this thing together. Serving as a commander with the department, Secretary Siems serves both the department and the lodge members with equal dedication. He is the answer man for membership information, finance, bylaws, and just about every facet of official Fraternal Order of Police business. As such, he is an irreplaceable link in this successful organizations chain.
2nd Vice President Kevin Rapacz
Brother Rapacz is assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division where he leads with a veterans insight. If his name looks familiar, it is because there is no doubt that you have seen it countless times in the newspaper.
State Trustee Jeff Newberg
Trustee Newberg was elected
State Trustee in July of 2006, and re-elected in July of 2008. Jeff took the trustee spot from outgoing Brother Kevin Glaser. Jeff is assigned to Community Policing division of the police department, and is involved with developing the NASQUAD (NASCAR Replica) Police car, to be displayed at many local events.
Sergeant-at-Arms Casey Erickson
Brother Erickson personifies the new breed of policing today. Educated, well trained and a positive attitude guide him to successes both for the Police Department and with the lodge.
Chaplain Mike Banske
Chaplain Banske was overwhelmingly elected for this important position based on his strong faith and ability to impart comfort to those in need. He has been readily available for any members or citizens that are in need of spiritual assistance in his role as lodge Chaplain.
Senior Trustee Wally Piech
Narration isn't necessary for Lt. Piech. Most associated with Calumet City or the lodge have met him or have known Brother Piech for years. His legacy is interwoven through the fabric of Calumet City and has provided veteran insight to a young E-board as it struggles with day to day FOP/Police issues.
Lodge Trustee William Slough
Trustee Slough was selected by out going President Kraus to fill a vacant position on the board of trustee's. Trustee Slough served on the negotiations team.
Lodge Trustee Momcillo Plavsa
Trustee Plasva was voted in to office in March 2009 serving until 2011. Mo served on the negotations team, and is currently assigned to the juvenile division working at T F North HS as a liason officer.
